• Welcoming Autumn!

    Hello bloggy type peoples,

Even though it’s late September, it’s been feeling like summer lately, apart from yesterday, which was pretty cold and hazy. Which is the way it should be, I want to dress all autumny in jumpers and coats and complain about how cold it is. Autumn is the best and I feel cheated. I am tired of being hot and sweaty wearing jumpers, I want to wear them and feel just right. I was going to say just right like Baby Bear’s porridge in Goldilocks and the three bears, but it just sounds…inappropriate.

I’ve been very unmotivated the past few days, and motivation hit me like a truck before. Now, in the hour that I have, I’m uploading a video that I edited at lightening fast speed, thankfully it didn’t need much editing, and now I’m trying to type a blogpost, and finish it.

So, to welcome Autumn and to say goodbye to my demotivated couple of days, I thought I’d share some of the cool things I did this Summer, in a Summer sum up. I’m usually great at puns but none are coming to me right now!

The first big fun thing I did this summer was go to Paris! I made a blogpost about that which you can see here, and also made this vlog, which is one of my favourite videos to date:

I can’t wait to visit Paris again in the future. I don’t intend to go back anytime soon but I do love that city.

I also went to see Scott Bradlee and Postmodern Jukebox, with my Dad, as his father’s day gift. I adore PMJ, and he really likes them too. Make sure to check them out, their music is phenomenal.

Here’s a photo that Mr Bradlee himself took. You can’t see me in it, even though I was RIGHT at the front, because I was stood directly behind where he was taking the selfie! Maybe next time!

Not long after that, it was my 19th birthday! I didn’t really do anything big, but I got to see a lot of my friends for the first time in a while, and also go bowling and go to an arcade. Arcades are my absolute favourite thing on Earth.

The Kim Kardashian game happened, which affected us all.

I also went to London to see Fae and go to Summer in the City which was so much fun. A tiring weekend, but an amazing and memorable one non the less! I think I will probably end up doing again next year, maybe I could even work my way onto the list of guests?! Who knows!

Meeting Jim Chapman was great. I love that chappy. And the shoes he was wearing. I have stalked where they are from and hot damn I want a pair.

My vlogs from Summer in the City are my actual favourite videos ever! They make me so happy every time I watch them.

Overall, it was a pretty awesome summer. Even if I did spend days on end at home, or visit Starbucks out of boredom some days. I got to do great things and hang out with some of my favourite people in the world, and now more exciting things are to come, with uni just starting up again, and a few YouTube related events coming up in the next few months!

Thanks for reading, it means a lot when I see people have actually read my posts!

    Yard Bird

On Thursday night, on the eve of our 1 week anniversary of living together, my room mates Stacy (whose blog is 10000% better than this, and you should check out!), Anna, and I went to a new restaurant in Liverpool called Yard Bird, which was AMAZING!!

Here are some pictures, rather than me babbling on. I’m making a post about a restaurant and I’m only now realising that I forgot to take a picture of my food. Oops.

    New room

It’s been a couple of days now, and I’m settling into what is going to be my home for the majority of the next 10 months. It’s starting to register where I am when I wake up, which is better than waking up really confused, like I did Saturday morning.

There’s still a ton of things I need to do to make my room looking a bit less empty, but here’s where I was up to as of this morning:

This is my vert white and very, very nice desk. Featuring Niomi Smart, I took this pictures whilst I caught up on YouTube.

    Last week at home

This was supposed to be written and posted before I moved out, but I moved back to uni yesterday, oops.

I tried taking pictures of the packing process but it was oh so very messy constantly and I was very busy all week, mainly by leaving packing clothes to the absolute last minute.

So sorry for the lack of pictures on this post, but you can imagine what my house looks like. Please make it big with a pool and a private cinema, maybe with a helipad, I’ll take or leave that.

It’s been a really strange week, every time I used the shower or went to bed, I’d always think in a countdown to when I leave, and even though it was really exciting I was still very nervous, I had a very bad nervous stomach yesterday morning, mainly because I hadn’t seen my room yet, which I now have, and it is very pretty and I very much like it. The next post will have pictures. I could combine these and give you a new post but I’m not that creative.

It was also surprisingly strange to pick what things I’ll take with me, and what I would leave. I chose books that I’m currently reading, and the DVDs I brought are some of my all time favourites, I did leave some at home which I think I’ll pick up next time, how did I think I didn’t need Scott Pilgrim or Hot Fuzz?! They’re both amazing and I want to watch them right now.

It’s strange, as soon as I moved in, I realised how many things I’d forgot and still need. I kept thinking over and over what I needed to buy and bought it all, but I move in and suddenly there’s a whole bunch I completely forgot. Like that magic spray that stops your shower cubicle from getting streaky?! Completely forgot about that one.

It’s weird and new and fun, and this is the fourth paragraph in a row starting with ‘it’. But I’m having a good time, even if I have been up for 2 hours and no one else is even awake yet.

But I’m having some quality YouTube time, and that’s pretty great too

    Packing

Surprise extra post! I just wanted to write and involve myself in something.

I’m a little sad/angry/annoyed/feeling a lot today and I wanted to channel that gross energy into a post of some sort. I don’t know why, I just want something good to come out of bad feelings, otherwise it’s the worst thing.

I started choosing things to take with me to uni, like books, DVDs and little things to make my room feel like my room. I want to make sure it feels like home since it’s going to be my primary home for a while, I’m excited for that.
