Happy December! It’s that time of year again, and if you’re like me, you’re not only already behind on Christmas shopping but are also completely stumped on what to get anyone. Never fear, I’m here to help with all of the best thing for any of the men in your life with a festive gift guide for him.
GQ How to Win at Life: The expert guide to excelling at everything you do
This handy book is based on major interviews from GQ over the years, including Richard Branson, Tracey Emin, Jamie Oliver, Tom Daley and even Dynamo.
This book covers pretty much anything you could ask for and makes for a confidence boosting read.
Is this a boring one? A little. Is it something you always forget about, never buy for yourself but need it? Yes.
Plus if you’re smart about it, you can find something pre-wrapped that comes with another bonus. Is this a basic tip? 100%, but this is always a great thing to remember. Boots do a massive amount of gift sets that always come with a variety of freebies.
Tom Ford fragrances are always welcomed, they’re just that bit too nice to buy for yourself. F****** Fabulous is just as the name suggests, and luxurious as f***.
2019 fast approaches, and so does a fresh new calendar that you need to fill up. London is an amazing city to be in, but why waste your time doing the same old, and standing in lines outside Madame Tussaud and paying £40 for a cramped ride on the London Eye? Below are a couple of experiences that you should enjoy in London in 2019.
Enjoy Rugby in Luxury*
February and March bring tons of rugby matches to the capital as the 6 Nations begin. It’s one thing to catch a match in the pub with your mates, but it’s another to enjoy 6 Nations hospitality at Twickenham Stadium and see the real deal. Catch England v Italy, England v France and England v Scotland in Twickenham. Choose which package you want, available in a range of prices and make the most of it! My family are Welsh, so I’ll be rooting for Wales to win as always!
Hi friends, I hope you’re all well. I wanted to make this post to talk about why myself and three close friends of mine, Ben, Adam and Aled, will be taking part in Movember 2018. (Donation page here if you can’t be assed reading all the way to the bottom)
So Movember is a month of growing moustaches and fun facial hair in support of the Movember Foundation, which seeks to combat prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health issues and the high suicide rate within men- over 75% of suicides are committed by men, with men in their 40’s being the highest at risk.
However, as mental health couldn’t give less of a shit about your sex or gender identity, we are also supporting the charity Mind. Mind is fantastic, their work to combat mental health cannot be understated and they are helping out where the Government is failing, though I hear some more funding is coming through in that area, so we’ll see how that goes.
Most Listened To is a little series I dip into every now and then to share some of the songs that I’m loving at the minute. I log into Obscurify and pick out the top 10 most listened to tracks of the last six weeks, though I do kind of cheat and set a rule so that there can only be one song per artist represented, otherwise we’d be seeing a lot more Christine and the Queens and Pale Waves thanks to their recently released albums, and Dua Lipa too, with her upcoming deluxe album.
Since my last ‘Most Listened To’ post I’ve spent some time travelling around the States and spent a whole lot of time at home resting up a leg injury, so this is what these 10 tracks represent!
Apologies for the uncentered Spotify embeds, WordPress doesn’t want to comply today.
1) Electricity – Silk City + Dua Lipa
I remember this coming out whilst I was in Portland, Oregon. Specifically, lying on the sofa bed in the living room and thinking that this song was mediocre. I was so wrong, it’s already jumped into my top tracks of all time.
Dua Lipa has one of those voices that fits in every track from soul to EDM, ‘Electricity’ feels like new territory for her, but with Mark Ronson and Diplo as her collaborators, it was only going to be a massive dance success. The track is incredibly catchy, and was co-written by Romy of the xx! The more you know.
A few months ago I was contacted by Boohoo Man in relation to their super cool Summer ’18 collaboration with Pepsi, The Art of Football Capsule Collection.
This range is inspired by street art all over the world and brings together the worlds of art and football. I’m becoming more and more of a big ol’ art nerd, I did go as Van Gogh for Halloween, after all. And I’m actually getting back into football for once, with a fantasy team named after my new hero, Mo Salah.
The kind folks at Boohoo gifted me a couple of pieces to shoot and style.
