Hello and welcome to my third and final Budapest blogpost!
You can find part 1 here, and part 2 here!
Whilst the first two posts covered 1 day, this last post covers the final day and a half. I decided to take less pictures on these days as I wanted to spend less time behind the camera! I spend too much time behind screens so I wanted to just allow myself to enjoy it and take it all in!
Blue Bird Cafe
First of all, we went for breakfast at Blue Bird Cafe! This place took us AGES to find, and I also had a rip in the heel of my shoes which meant my feet were soaked immediately. Not a good start to the day! We walked through a lot of central Budapest on our way there, and it was nice to see more of the city.
A sentiment I fully agree with.
Welcome to my second Budapest blog post, Budapost if you will, if you missed the first part, here it is!
So, this continues with the rest of my first day in Budapest, with crossing the Széchenyi chain bridge to Pest! This really reminded me of the Brooklyn bridge, although a fair bit shorter!
The views from the bridge were incredible – the river is so clean! So unlike the Mersey and the Thames, which are both brown and gross. Why do we have to pollute them?!
Hello! I’ve just gotten back from spending a few days in Budapest, Hungary! Did you know it’s actually pronounced ‘Budapesch‘?! Neither did I! It’s also a city split by a river (the Danube) and on either side you have Buda and Pest!
Going away was the perfect way to blow off steam after a very stressful few weeks, and to spend some quality time with some of my favourite people. This is time to reminisce and not get sad that none of us will be living in the same city, or even county come July. Why does uni life have to come to an end?!
I’m going to split this up into areas/sections since I don’t really know how else to do it!
Margaret Island is a huge island in the middle of the Danube, which can be accessed via Margaret bridge, which also connects Buda and Pest.
Welcome to the final part of my staycation blogposts! If you’ve missed part 1 and part 2, go check them out!
Sunday started with a major lie in, due to being out late the night before. It was quite a slow day compared to the previous 2, but still it was great!
We walked to the docks and visited the Andy Warhol exhibition at the Tate, which will be gone by this time next week, I believe!
Welcome to day 2 of my staycation! If you missed day 1, you can read that here.
Saturday began with a bit of a lie in. Always amazing.
The weather in Liverpool had been quite crappy, for lack of a better word. Very rainy, cold, a lot of snow and hail. But as of this weekend, it has improved massively! Blue skies, sunny, and just cold enough so that you’re not annoyed about the weather.
Although it then became insanely windy.
Still sunny and dry though, so I can’t complain!
The day started with a selfie taken with my selfie stick. People judge selfie sticks but they are SO MUCH FUN.
