Playlist of March

Hello everyone!

This month has been an amazing month for music, and I really wanted to get this out while I had time. By that I mean whilst I wait for my dad to come pick me up from university because I don’t think I can carry this suitcase full of textbooks any further than straight to the car.

Anyway yes, I’ve gotten into tons of new music this month that I cannot wait to share with you right here!

You can check out last month’s here.

Our Own House (Album) – Misterwives

I started this month with listening to Misterwives, a band I’d never listened to before! Their album, Our Own House, is so upbeat and uplifting, it’s been really great to listen to on the way to and from university. The titular song, ‘Our Own House’ is my favourite, I also really like ‘Best I Can Do’.

Someone New – Hozier

I discovered this song through my love for Natalie Dormer- she’s in the video, which you can watch above. It’s a very clever and relatable video, as who doesn’t fall briefly in love with strangers as you walk past them somewhere?! I think I’d listened to it before, as I did listen to Hozier’s album on Spotify a few times, but I didn’t really remember it, which is surprising as I can’t stop listening to it now.

Froot (Album) – Marina and the Diamonds

Marina dropped her 3rd album this month, and it’s my favourite of them all. I absolutely love her other albums (The Family Jewels and Electra Heart), but Froot tops them all. It’s a great, no-filler album, that is reminiscent of Marina’s other works but so new and exciting still. There’s not a single song I don’t love on this album. Her ‘Froot of the Month’ system (she dropped a single each month for 6 months leading up to the album’s release) was AWESOME and got me so hyped for it, and it didn’t disappoint.

Above are my two favourite songs from the album, ‘Forget’ and ‘Blue’

Too Young to Remember – Florrie

I watched Florrie back in October at Amity Fest, I had never heard of her before but I immediately fell in love with her music (‘Live a Little’ is my favourite). She performed this song, and I couldn’t get enough of it, though it hadn’t been released properly at that time, but now it’s on iTunes/Spotify, and I can listen to it as much as I like. It’s great, and full of 90’s references which I am always down for.

3005 – Childish Gambino

I’m usually not into rap at all, apart from a few songs, but I’ve really liked listening to Childish Gambino this month. I’ve heard everyone rave about his music for months, and he really does live up to the hype!

Paint – Dodie Clark

I’ve recently gotten into watching a YouTuber called Doddleoddle A.K.A Dodie Clark. I love this song, it’s so positive and uplifting! Also watching YouTubers who are my age is very motivating.

What Kind of Man – Florence and the Machine

I am so glad that Florence is finally back. I made a blogpost on my love for Florence and the Machine a few months ago, which you can read here. I also joked about how long it’d been since Florence brought out any new music, but it looks like I’ve summoned her back into the studio! This song is so different than her other songs, though that doesn’t mean it’s not as great as anything from Lungs and Ceremonials. I can’t wait for the full album to drop.

And an honorary mention that I forgot to include last month:

Sugar – Maroon 5

This song is my jam. If I could have anyone’s voice, it would be Adam Levine’s, as I always want to belt out some Maroon 5 in the shower but I sound like I’m dying instead.

As always, here is my Spotify playlist that has most of this songs in:

Thanks for reading! See you later!
