Bladdy hell- guess who just realised that they didn’t take a SINGLE PHOTOGRAPH of the band last night. Wait no, this goes up Tuesday, and right now it’s Monday night for me…so by the time you’re reading this, it’s 2 days ago. Okay. That was a hard one to figure out for a sleepy me.
On Sunday, I went to see Scott Bradlee and Postmodern Jukebox for the second time, I thought I had blogged about the first time I watched them, in June, but I can’t find it on the site. So I guess I didn’t? Which is strange, I can remember writing the post!
Scott Bradlee and PMJ take songs that are popular now, or have been extremely successful in the past, and perform them as if they came from a different era, or genre. They are SO GOOD AT THIS. They nail it every time.
The best thing about seeing them perform live is that it feels so real, with the amount of people playing instruments in front of you. Even better, they brought 5 vocalists with them this time! It’s like a billion concerts in 1. The last time I watched them, they had 3-4 vocalists I think, and this time, all apart from 1 were new! So in a way, it was like seeing a different band for me.
As I didn’t take any pictures, because I got a bit absorbed into the concert, I’m going to give you the videos of some of my favourite PMJ songs:
All About That Bass
There’s SO MANY MORE songs for you to check out. They have so much music out there. They’ve made 4 albums in just over a year, 5 including the Christmas album! And they’re all incredible!
Thanks for reading. See you tomorrow.
