Goodbye Parks and Recreation.

I'm writing this on February 24th 2015, today is the day that the Parks and Recreation season 7 finale, which is also the series finale, airs in the U.S. As of this, I have not seen the episode yet!

I only got into Parks and Recreation very recently, I watched episode 1 on New Year's Eve 2014, and I fell completely head over heels in love with the show. Well, I was actually underwhelmed by the pilot, but by the time I hit season 2, I knew that this was going to become one of my favourite TV shows ever.

Reading, Read and to Read #2

Hello everybody!

Welcome to my 2nd Reading, Read and to Read. If you don't know what this is, it's a monthly series in which I run through what books I am currently reading, what I have finished reading in the last month, and what is on my pile of books to read.

Here is the link to last month's, as I won't talk too much about some of the overlapping books.

I have to admit I haven't read a ton this month. But now I'm thinking about it, I did finish 2 books, start and finish another, and start another book, which I'm about 85% of the way through. Maybe I read more than I realise.

OOTD: University

Hello everyone,

Happy Monday! Today the sun is shining, and the skies are blue, it's put me in a great mood. Not to mention, Monday is The Walking Dead day. Yesterday, Liverpool was very rainy and haily, which I am just now discovering is not a word, so it was very nice to wake up to clear blue sky this morning. That said, it's still cold as balls.

Liverpool is windy almost constantly, today that wind is not a cool summer breeze. Stepping outside was like holding a slushy and your hand begins to go numb, why would something so perfect hurt you in such a way?

Going outside when it's so blue and sunny tricks you into thinking it'll feel like a nice Spring day, you're so relaxed and happy with your neon blue slushie and then BAM you're cold. I think I ended up mixing analogies.

ANYWAY, today I'm going to be doing an Outfit of the Day post. I have never done one of these before, so please bear with me, as even attempting simple things like this is a learning curve. Which I discovered in my attempt to take a mirror selfie this morning.

Tanya Burr Manchester 'Love, Tanya' Book Signing

Hello everybody!

Yesterday afternoon, I went to Manchester for Tanya Burr's book signing. If you don't know, Tanya Burr is a YouTuber who covers beauty, baking, tags/challenges and a whole bunch of things! She has amassed, as of writing this, almost 3 MILLION subscribers. Which is...insane! She deserves every single one.

Tanya is one of my favourite YouTubers, as she is so sweet, kind and geniune. I especially love her vlogs, something about the way she does it makes them my absolute favourite to watch. And I watch A LOT of vlogs!

Lush Grease Lightning Review

Happy Monday, and happy new week! Also happy half-term to those of you who still get half-term! I'm definitely jealous of you if you do.

First of all, I need to apologize for missing a few days last week! I just didn't get around to writing posts. I had them planned, so they'll be going up at some point soon. This post was intended to be Friday's, I rushed in the morning to take a few pictures on my phone, when I usually use a legit camera, but I ended up being quite busy for the rest of the day, and not making the post. So I could have faffed about and used my camera in the end. Oh well.

Also, this post is more appropriate now, as I cannot stop listening to the Grease soundtrack for some reason. What's better to start the week with, than a Lush product named after one of Grease's most famous songs?

I don't know

Today, as most Thursdays, was going to be #TBT, but instead I've decided to type a lil. Not too much. But a lil.

You know when you have a weird moment when you're like 'this was NOT MY LIFE 2 YEARS AGO'. I had one of those moments last night when I was in a bar, playing beer pong at 1am on a Thursday morning, with people who I've known for over a year now, and I consider some of my favourite people in the world.

But you know when you think, life WAS SO DIFFERENT and you feel all trippy about it?!

It was a weird moment. And I wanted to share the trippy moments. I don't know why, but I've been having those moments a lot lately, and I don't think that's ever going to really stop.  I hope it doesn't, because that means things might be falling into a major routine, which is fine, and I enjoy every now and then, but whatever this is, is fun for now.

YEAH so this post is just a weird one about a weird moment I had.

Sorry I didn't post yesterday, I was kinda busy and when I got home, I wasn't really in the 'blogging mindset'.

Thanks for reading. See you tomorrow.

Scott Bradlee and Post Modern Jukebox Take 2

Bladdy hell- guess who just realised that they didn't take a SINGLE PHOTOGRAPH of the band last night. Wait no, this goes up Tuesday, and right now it's Monday night for me...so by the time you're reading this, it's 2 days ago. Okay. That was a hard one to figure out for a sleepy me.

On Sunday, I went to see Scott Bradlee and Postmodern Jukebox for the second time, I thought I had blogged about the first time I watched them, in June, but I can't find it on the site. So I guess I didn't? Which is strange, I can remember writing the post!

Scott Bradlee and PMJ take songs that are popular now, or have been extremely successful in the past, and perform them as if they came from a different era, or genre. They are SO GOOD AT THIS. They nail it every time.

The best thing about seeing them perform live is that it feels so real, with the amount of people playing instruments in front of you. Even better, they brought 5 vocalists with them this time! It's like a billion concerts in 1. The last time I watched them, they had 3-4 vocalists I think, and this time, all apart from 1 were new! So in a way, it was like seeing a different band for me.

As I didn't take any pictures, because I got a bit absorbed into the concert, I'm going to give you the videos of some of my favourite PMJ songs:

Star Wars

Somehow I managed to make it until age 19 without ever having seen any Star Wars films, or any of the TV shows, or literally ANYTHING to do with it.

Last week that all changed, when I watched Star Wars. Or later renamed, Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. (What is it with George Lucas and changing film names?! I'm looking at you Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark)

I fell completely in love with it. Even with it's 38 year old special effects. Everything about it felt so immersive and so great.

So great I had to buy the poster.

#TBT #6: Will and Grace

Another TBT! Hello everyone!

I purchased all 8 seasons of Will and Grace on CEX recently, for the modest price of £22.50! If you don't know, Will and Grace is sitcom that started in the late 90s, which was, like everything at the time, overshadowed by Friends. But Friends is incredible, so that isn't surprising!

Staycation #3

Welcome to the final part of my staycation blogposts! If you've missed part 1 and part 2, go check them out!

Sunday started with a major lie in, due to being out late the night before. It was quite a slow day compared to the previous 2, but still it was great!

Staycation #2

Welcome to day 2 of my staycation! If you missed day 1, you can read that here.

Saturday began with a bit of a lie in. Always amazing.

The weather in Liverpool had been quite crappy, for lack of a better word. Very rainy, cold, a lot of snow and hail. But as of this weekend, it has improved massively! Blue skies, sunny, and just cold enough so that you're not annoyed about the weather.

Although it then became insanely windy.

Still sunny and dry though, so I can't complain!

The day started with a selfie taken with my selfie stick. People judge selfie sticks but they are SO MUCH FUN.

Staycation #1

Hello everyone!

We have a few days of more interesting blogposts here on www.daveygranger.co.uk!!

This past weekend, my friend Amy and I, had a staycation in Liverpool. A staycation is essentially a vacation in your local area! For us, that is Liverpool! It's amazing how many of the touristy places that you miss in your own hometown. When you sit down and think about it, you've probably not done too many of them.

I'm not entirely sure how many blogposts this series is going to take, I've scheduled it for 3 posts, up until Wednesday, but we'll see as I write!

On Friday evening, we ate at Bakchich with my roommates. Bakchich is a restaurant that serves Lebanese street food, and it's located on Bold Street, which is one of my favourite places in Liverpool.
